Chain integral solutions to tautological systems
We give a new geometrical interpretation of the local analytic solutions to a differential system, which we call a tautological system τ , arising from the universal family of Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces Ya in a G-variety X of dimension n. First, we construct a natural topological correspondence between relative cycles in Hn(X − Ya,∪D − Ya) bounded by the union of G-invariant divisors ∪D in X to t...

متن کاملSafety Verification of Real Time Systems Serving Periodic Devices
In real-time systems response to a request from a controlled object must be correct and timely. Any late response to a request from such a device might lead to a catastrophy. The possibility of a task overrun, i.e., missing the deadline for completing a requested task, must be checked and removed during the design of such systems. Safe design of real-time systems running periodic tasks under th...
متن کاملPERIODIC SOLUTIONS OF CERTAIN THREE DIMENSIONAL AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS
There has been extensive work on the existence of periodic solutions for nonlinear second order autonomous differantial equations, but little work regarding the third order problems. The popular Poincare-Bendixon theorem applies well to the former but not the latter (see [2] and [3]). We give a necessary condition for the existence of periodic solutions for the third order autonomous system...
متن کاملHigher Weil-petersson Volumes and Tautological Constants
We prove in this paper an effective recursion formula for all intersection numbers of mixed ψ and κ classes on moduli spaces of curves. Several related general recursive formulas are also proved. Some of these formulas contain certain tautological constants, which are given by the secant Euler numbers and series expansion of Bessel functions of the first kind.
